I’m not one for controversy and I don’t want this to turn into a political post being anti or pro any particular candidate. That being said I’m posting this remake of Apples 1984 commercial that aired during the 1984 Super Bowl simply because I think the creators did a good job. If you look closely there are some interesting additions that weren’t in the original video.
The creators took the time to super impose an image of Barack Obama’s campaign slogan on the heroine’s white tank top. Of course I’m sure you noticed that the video of Big Brother was replaced with a clip of Hillary Clinton. The most notable change, at least in my opinion, is the addition of the iPod to the heroine’s waist. Its kinda cool to see technology developed 20 years in the future being portrayed in in the old video. Its time travel I tell you! It turns out that the authors of this video didn’t add the iPod to the video. This was added by Apple in 2004 for MacWorld Expo to commemorate Apple’s 20th anniversary.
Oh, I should probably add that this is an unofficial video and not created or supported by Barack Obama.

The addition of the iPod was done by Apple. They showed the commercial with the addition of the iPod some time ago. So the credit for that doesn’t go to this version!
Thanks for the heads up. I found the version that Apple redid and I’m editing the post to add it.
It is a well done video, and it may be the start of some big and i hope good changes to the face of politics. I had forgotten about apple remaking the ad to add the iPod. I would have credited it to this remake too.
The video has been at the top of the viral video charts for a few days now. Its been posted by 880 blogs, 161 of which were in the last 24 hours.
I also read that the creator of the video stepped forward and took credit for it. It seems that he’s resigned from his job because of the video so as to not hurt his employer. I can understand his good intent with the resignation, but that seems a bit lame to me.
