what are you currently using for backup?
i have 2 western digital drives.
1 is a 320gb mybook middle one... for big serious backups.
the other is a western digital 160gb portable drive for on the run files and such.
i use super duper for mac drive images and a couple of other programs to keep items synced for backup.

You know... I'm guilty :(

So far I haven't get a good backup routine down yet. I have a ton of online storage with DreamHost that I was thinking about using for my music and pictures. But ultimately I need to get an external hard drive. I'd like to get a 160gb drive with a portable enclosure that is powered by USB. Any suggestions?

I really need to get a good backup routine going. I think I would cry if anything happened to my MacBook Pro :(

Which external enclosure do you use?

[...] Packing While its nice to have all your gadgets with you, most of them won’t be needed during your flight. It’s sort of a waste to put them in your carry on, but its better than risking them *disappearing* from your checked baggage. I’ve heard to many stories of people getting electronics stolen out of their checked baggage to trust my stuff in there. If you are using a backpack instead of a dedicated computer case, make sure that you have nice protective cases for your accessories. [...]
