So I’ve been thinking about all the possibilities that built in Bluetooth gives me. A wireless mouse without the need for a cradle would be simply awesome. I know that Apple has their own Bluetooth mouse named the Mighty Mouse. But, coming from the PC world I don’t think that I’d be able to get used to the odd form factor. I was also looking at the Logitech MX900. The MX900 has nearly exactly the same form factor as my MX500, which I love. However, I read that users experienced flaky compatibility with Max OS X. I suppose I could always give the MX900 a try and if it doesn’t work return it.
After checking out the mice I delved a bit deeper and checked out Bluetooth headphones. I read somewhere that basically any Bluetooth headphones would work with OS X. I also read about people having problems getting Bluetooth headphones to work with any computer not just OS X. A pair that I really like are the Motorola HT820 stereo headphones. These headphones even have a built in microphone that could be used for Skype calls or similar voice chat programs. But after reading a few reviews users had problems connecting or pairing these to their computer, both PC and Mac. Just like the MX900, I guess I could give them a shot and if they don’t work I could just return it.

i also went though this same issue.
i finally settled on an external Logitech. thier top of the line now with that super scroll thing.
it is functional for somethings, but too sensitive for others.
once again it is a trade off. the mouse itself if pretty good, but you still have the little dongle thingy hanging out of the side.
if you find any good Bluetooth mice let me know. i am willing to fork over the money for it…

Did you get the Logitech MX Revolution or the VX Revolution? I checked both of them out at Fry’s and really liked the feel of them. I read that the free scrolling wheel takes a bit to get used to at first, but it seems really neat.
The dongle thing is a bummer which is why I’d like to get a Bluetooth mouse. If I can find an MX 900 I’ll give it a try, if I can’t find one or don’t like it I’ll give of of the Revolution mice a shot. Any complaints on the OS X drivers for that mouse?
i got the VX revolution.
it is cool, but not Bluetooth.
the only other real issue that i have with it is that it goes to sleep alot.
when you move it, the mouse movement wakes up, but the buttons do not wake for a couple of seconds. it is a bit of a hassle.
Did you ever decide on one? How is it working?
I am getting really sick of the laser wireless from MS. It’s the 6000, and it seems to just fail to respond to me clicking some of the time and I can’t figure out why. If i could find the damn receipt I would take it back, but since i can’t maybe i will launch out of a potato cannon. (with a potato behind it for a good seal) The wireless 6000 keyboard seems to work fine, I actually like it.
I ended of buying a RadTech BT600 Bluetooth mouse. Its pretty sweet. I don’t know what Mac you have right now, but if don’t have built in Bluetooth you’ll have to get one of those little USB dongles because the BT600 doesn’t come with one. Here’s two posts that I wrote about the mouse.
